Senditnow relaunches courier service with host of new attributes

Courier service SenditNow has relaunched with a range of additional functionality such as online booking, marketplace integration, worldwide delivery and PayPal payment. The service offers UK delivery for a single flat rate of £11.35, for parcel up to 30kgs, with users able to drop off parcels at over 11,000 Post Office branches or arrange collection.

As part of the relaunch, SenditNow is also adding a competitively-priced worldwide courier service to more than 220 countries and territories. With international delivery starting from £12.79, the company believe it is an ideal for everyone including students, tourists and businesspeople.

Using the new mobile-enabled website, customers are able to quote, book and track courier services online. It also offers eBay marketplace integration for the first time, so sellers can import customer orders directly from eBay and manage courier deliveries on a single platform. In addition, users can pay for courier bookings via PayPal, meaning sellers have the option of covering the cost of postage using the proceeds generated from a marketplace sale.

Postal organisations and parcel companies are investing heavily in infrastructure, service offering and technology to take advantage of growth opportunities within the delivery marketplace. This is enabling them to improve the service they provide to customers and increase competitiveness.

Skillweb provides an effective means of tracking and tracing incoming and outgoing deliveries, as well as communicating useful delivery details to the recipient, via its SmartTask POD solution, helping carriers of all sizes to enhance their service offering.

Downloaded onto a worker’s smartphone, ruggedised or semi-ruggedised device – including the Motorola TC55 touch computer – this mobile software application can run as a standalone solution, alongside Skillweb’s Houndit technology or a carrier’s current system.

When recipients choose their delivery option during a purchase, the information sent to a carrier relating to the order can be used by the software to generate a communication via email or SMS stating an approximate delivery slot. This is based on how long it takes to get from a warehouse to the customer.
